On Thursday, February 11, six of our seminarians were instituted in the ministry of lector and acolyte during a solemn Eucharist in our Stadniki Seminary Chapel. Wojciech Bochenek, Dariusz Motyka and Dominik Rudan (Croatia) were instituted in the ministry of lector, and Jakub Gąsienica, Mateusz Tomczykowski and Aliaksiej Ventskevich (Belarus) in the ministry of acolyte. The solemn Eucharist was celebrated by the provincial superior of the Polish Province, Fr. Wiesław Święch, who also gave the homily and instituted the new lectors and acolytes. They prepared for receiving the ministries during a retreat day, which was led by Fr. Gabriel Pisarek. During the retreat day the candidates for lector and acolyte ministries meditated on the Meeting of the Risen Christ with two disciples on the road from Jerusalem to Emmaus. “Did we not feel our hearts on fire as He talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?”
