In an inspiring display of social commitment and profound humanity, the community of our school brought to life the first edition of “Party with Christ”, an initiative that transcended the classroom walls to bring comfort and aid to people experiencing homelessness in the vicinity of the San Juan de Dios Hospital.
On the night of last Friday, April 4th, the spirit of collaboration and empathy was palpable at the school, where students, parents, and staff gathered with generosity as their banner, ready to materialize the fruit of a week of hard work and collection led by the Middle School Cycle.

Far from the conventional revelry of a “carrete” (party), this instance stood as a beacon of hope and a testament to the power of the organized community to lend a helping hand to those facing vulnerability.
The delivery day was much more than the distribution of food and shelter; it was an act of presence, of attentive listening, and of sharing a moment of dignity with those who are often made invisible. The smiles received and the words of gratitude resonated as the best reward for the SJE volunteers, who demonstrated that solidarity is a universal language that moves and transforms.
This first edition of “Carrete con Cristo” “Party with Christ”, not only provided immediate relief but also sowed a seed of awareness and commitment in the educational community of San Juan Evangelista, in an experience that left an indelible mark on all participants, reaffirming the importance of looking beyond our daily surroundings and recognizing the shared humanity that unites us all.
