First Provincial Forum on Vocation Ministry in Spain
The First Provincial Forum dedicated to Vocation Ministry took place in Spain on November 28th and 29th. This event served as a space for dialogue and discernment between religious and lay members, organized in response to one of the suggestions made by the XV Provincial Chapter.
Following the suggestions of the XV Provincial Chapter in Spain, a first Provincial Forum on Vocation Ministry—a fundamental pillar for the life and mission of the Congregation—was organized on November 28th and 29th, 2025.
Religious and lay members from the various communities and apostolic works participated in this historic first gathering. They worked intensely and with great commitment, analyzing the difficulties and strengths involved in accompanying young people who are considering the Dehonian way of life.
The sessions were characterized by a climate of fraternity, listening, shared reflection, and prayer, creating an environment conducive to communal discernment. The exchange of experiences, concerns, and best practices allowed for a deeper understanding of the current challenges in vocation ministry, as well as the opportunities emerging to continue providing accompaniment with closeness, realism, and hope.
This First Provincial Forum proved to be an extremely enriching experience. It confirms the importance of walking together—religious and lay members—in the vocation mission, sharing responsibilities and dreams, and renewing the commitment to the future of our Congregation and the Church.
The gathering not only served to analyze the current reality but also to strengthen communion and renew the evangelizing impetus within the vocational field.
