Meeting of the Geocultural Area Coordinators with the General Government

On the margins of the beatification of Martino Capelli, the meeting of the Coordinators of the Congregation's Geocultural Areas with the Superior General and his Council took place in Bologna on September 24 and 25, 2026.

The meeting provided a space for listening, dialogue, and sharing on the life of the Congregation in various geographical and cultural contexts. Particular attention was given to the role of Coordinators as an instrument of communion, co-responsibility, and collaboration between the Entities and the General Government, in the spirit of synodality set forth by the XXV General Chapter.

During the two days, several topics concerning the current path of the Congregation were addressed, including the implementation of the chapter guidelines, missionary and international collaboration, the life of the Geocultural Areas, reconfiguration processes, and the journey toward the Dehonian Jubilee of 2028, marking the 150th anniversary of the Congregation’s foundation.

The diversity of shared experiences made it possible to identify current challenges and opportunities across different continents while strengthening the search for common paths in service of the mission and Sint Unum.

The meeting took place in Bologna during the days leading up to the beatification of Fr. Martino Capelli, offering participants the opportunity to experience together this significant moment for the Congregation.
