The meeting of the Major Superiors of Africa (COSENAF) was held in Madagascar from June 17 to 18, 2026. It brought together the Major Superiors of the Congregation present on the African continent to reflect together on several important challenges, particularly in the fields of formation, personnel management, and the self-sufficiency of African entities.
The proceedings took place in an atmosphere of fraternity, communion, and collaboration, fostering rich and constructive exchanges.
Among the participants were:
- Fr. Charles Aimé Koudjou, SCJ, General Councilor for Africa;
- Fr. Michel Mandey, SCJ, Provincial Superior of Congo;
- Fr. Joshua Moorosi Mpiti, SCJ, Provincial of South Africa;
- Fr. David Tachago, SCJ, Provincial of Cameroon;
- Fr. Jean Leonard Ramarofanigana, SCJ, Regional Superior of Madagascar;
- Fr. David Manuel Martins Mieiro, SCJ, Superior of the District of Angola.
At the conclusion of this meeting, the participants renewed their commitment to promoting the Congregation’s mission in Africa through quality formation, responsible human resource management, and the development of sustainable initiatives at the service of the Church and the populations entrusted to their apostolate.
This meeting was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen fraternal bonds and to reflect together on the challenges and perspectives of the Dehonian mission in Africa.
