New General Treasurer, Fr. Leonardo Javier Zampa, scj
On October 4, 2025, the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, the Superior General appointed Fr. Leonardo Javier Zampa, scj, as the General Treasurer of the Congregation.
On the Feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, this October 4, 2025, the Superior General appointed Fr. Leonardo Javier Zampa, scj, from the APU Province (Argentina-Paraguay-Uruguay), as the General Treasurer. His mandate will begin on November 15, 2025.
Biography of the New General Treasurer
- Local Treasurer in Maciel (2003–04);
- Parochial Vicar and Parish Administrator in Pampa del Indio (2004–06);
- Parochial Vicar in San Martín (2006);
- Between 2006 and 2009, he obtained a Licentiate in Spiritual Theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University (Rome, 2006–09);
- Formator of the aspirants and Parochial Vicar in Resistencia (2009–17);
- Provincial Superior for two terms (2013–20);
- Since 2020, he has been Provincial Treasurer, residing in Montevideo (Uruguay).
