It was not only a happy event for the Indian District, but also for the entire Congregation. On May 1, 2016 six novices made their first profession: Alex, Babuji, Chitti Babu, Moses, Pavan and Thambi.
During the Eucharistic celebration in our novitiate house in Nambur (India) Fr. Thomas Vinod SCJ, district superior, blessed and distributed the religious habit according the rite and received the first vows. Each of the newly professed also received a profession cross, cord, the Rule of Life and the Divine Office as a sign of their entrance into the religious life.
The ceremony gathered together not only many SCJ priests and brothers, but also religious priests and nuns from other religious congregations. Many family members, relatives and friends of our six novices were present for the joyful celebration.
