With entries into the novitiate, first religious professions, the celebration of instituted ministries, perpetual vows, and ordinations, the year 2025 has been a year of abundant graces for the Province of Cameroon.
The year 2025—the Jubilee Year of Hope for the Church and the centenary of the death of our Founder, Fr. Leo John Dehon—has truly been a year of abundant graces for our SCJ Province of Cameroon, and especially for all its communities.
In July 2025, the Province welcomed seven new deacons. Meanwhile, the Novitiate community in Ndoungué welcomed six new novices for Cameroon and two for Angola, not forgetting the first religious professions which enriched our Province with ten new members. A few months later, the International Scholasticate “Jean Dehon” in Ngoya took center stage with the conferral of the ministries of Lector and Acolyte upon 17 of our confreres on the evening of December 12, 2025.

The Newly Instituted Acolytes
The brothers instituted as Acolytes are: RABIL JAIME Eugenio; Samuel MUNGI; Laurent Pierre KENGNE NOKAM; ACHOU Fidelis NKEMATABONG; Celestino Romao DUARTE (from the SCJ Province of Mozambique); Franck Joël NGUEMENI; BONIFACIO Lucas Camilo (from the SCJ Province of Mozambique); Pascal MBUSA KAMWIRA (from the SCJ Province of DR Congo); Brice Mérimée Mesmer MBIAMI; Ruffin KASEREKA VUHESE (from the SCJ Province of DR Congo).
Perpetual Professions
On December 13, the day after the conferral of ministries, we celebrated the Perpetual Professions of six of our confreres: Grâce MUHINDO KOLONGO, Samuel MUNGI, Laurent Pierre KENGNE NOKAM, Brice Mérimée Mesmer MBIAMI, ACHOU Fidelis NKEMATABONG, and Franck Joël NGUEMENI.
Thanksgiving
The year 2025 has thus been a rich year, full of divine grace for our Province. We give thanks to God for all these moments of profound experience with Him, and we entrust the new year 2026 to His care. May we continue to be, in the heart of the world and society, Witnesses of Love and Servants of Reconciliation.
