“Devotion to the Sacred Heart naturally finds its expression in Eucharistic adoration”
Reflection:
The natural impulse of all true affection is to seek to draw physically and spiritually closer to the beloved. It is precisely this need that the Heart of Jesus fulfills in the tabernacle, where He resides not as a mere image, but in an absolutely real and living way. This presence is so complete that when we adore the Sacred Heart or when He enters into us through communion, Jesus is presented as burning with love for mankind.
Since the Heart of Jesus is alive and made so close in the Blessed Sacrament, devotion to the Sacred Heart naturally finds its expression in Eucharistic adoration. Devotion to the Heart of Jesus invites us to centralize our homage and affection directly before the Blessed Sacrament. The Eucharist is the physical and spiritual place of encounter: it is there that devotion to the Sacred Heart truly comes to life, uniting the soul to live in His love.
The practice of this devotion is expressed through fervent communions and through ardent dialogues with the divine Heart residing in the tabernacle. With each visit to the Blessed Sacrament, the faithful is invited to offer themselves to the Sacred Heart, renouncing everything to keep only the freedom to love Him.
