On the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, February 20, 2020, 15 novices professed their first vows in Brazil. They represent the Southern Brazilian Province (BRM), Brazil – Sao Paulo (BSP) and the Venezuelan Region (VEN). The celebration took place in the Chapel of the Novitiate of Our Lady of Fatima in Jaraguá do sul (SC). Fr. Gilberto Bonato Xavier, SCJ, provincial superior of BRM, presided over the celebration, together with Fr. Ronilto Souza de Araújo, SCJ, provincial superior of BSP, and Fr. Alexander Manuel Quintero, SCJ, delegate of the regional superior of VEN. They were joined by other Dehonians, lay people and family members of the newly professed.

The homily reflected on three aspects of the Gospel that are also a part of the Dehonian life: a constant search for God’s will, the oblative charism inspired by Fr. Dehon that leads us to the Heart of Jesus, and the very being of the Dehonian Family, highlighted with the welcome of the newly professed in the Dehonian family.

Here are the novices who made their first vows:

From the BRM Province: Anderson Carlos da Silva Viana, Diego Fragoso Pereira, Leonardo Jacomelli.

From the BSP Province: André Luiz de Souza Alves, Clever Rafael Rodrigues, David Cordeiro da Silva, Eliseu José Ramos, Elizeu Resende Silva, Higor Henrique Fraga, Jefferson Henrique Luiz, Kelven Samuel Pereira, Lucas Ferreira da Silva, Maicon Denis de Almeida, Ricardo Valim.

From the VEN Region: Jesús Eduardo Camacho Ramirez.
