Father Lotívio Antônio Finger was born on December 29, 1954 and was 66 years old. He took his first vows on February 2, 1977 and was ordained priest on December 14, 1985.

He was currently living in Santa Helena (Brazil). He belonged to the Province BRM.

Dear confreres, we communicate that Fr. Lotívio Antônio Finger has just passed away as a result of complications from COVID-19. Ivanildo, priest of the Diocese of Foz do Iguaçu. As soon as we have information about the burial, we will inform the Province. May the soul of the faithful departed, by the mercy of God, rest in peace!

P. Lotívio was born on December 29, 1954 in Três Passos, Rio Grande do Sul. He professed vows on February 2, 1977. He was ordained a priest on December 14, 1985. He worked in several parishes: Our Lady of Aparecida Parish in Belo Horizonte, St. Jude Thaddeus Sanctuary in São Paulo, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in São José dos Campos, Our Lady of Candelaria Parish in São Paulo, Our Mother of the Church Parish in Taubaté, St. Anthony Parish in Santa Helena (PR). He also left an important legacy in the administrative part of the Province, especially at the head of the south Brazil Dehonian Association and as an advisor to the Provincial Treasurer.

Currently, the religious have permission to be absent from the religious community (since 2019) to dedicate themselves to the care of their parents in Santa Helena. He helped in the pastoral work at St. Anthony Parish in St. Helena, where he never ceased his zealousness to carry out his priestly ministry.
From this moment on, we are in solidarity with the family of our confrere. Let us present to the Lord the life of Fr. We are grateful for his solicitude for the Province.
