On June 12, 2026, representatives from the five schools managed by the Leo Dehon Catholic Education Foundation (Yayasan Pendidikan Katolik Leo Dehon) came together for the celebration. The participating schools included SMP Yos Sudarso and SMA Yos Sudarso from Lampung, alongside SD St. Antonius, SMP St. Antonius, and SMA St. Antonius from Jakarta. In total, 300 students attended the celebratory event.
This annual encounter is designed to deepen Dehonian values through various artistic expressions, including dance, music, theater, and talent shows. This year, the gathering was meaningfully scheduled to coincide directly with the Feast of the Sacred Heart.
Fr. Cristo Wahyu Tri, SCJ, the supervisor of the Indonesian Province’s education committee, presided over the Holy Eucharist at 5:00 PM. In his homily, he delivered two essential messages from the Gospel, encouraging Dehonian students to nurture thankfulness and live out compassion in their daily lives. Fr. Cristo highlighted how Jesus modeled gratitude in every situation and showed profound compassion to those in need and those who suffer. This compassion, he noted, is built upon Jesus’ invitation to learn from His heart, which is meek and humble.
Nine Dehonian priests and brothers assigned to the schools and dormitories also attended the Mass, where they renewed their vows to dedicate their lives to the Sacred Heart. During the liturgy, it was emphasized to the students that these priests and brothers inhabit the exact same Dehonian spirituality that they themselves are learning to cultivate.
Following the Mass, the students enjoyed a fellowship and recreation session, allowing them to get to know one another and strengthen their friendships—a vital opportunity given that they traveled from different regions. The celebration continued into the following afternoon on June 13, 2026, at 4:30 PM, when the students took to the stage for creative artistic performances, beautifully expressing their shared Dehonian values through their talents.
