Poland: The novitiate reopens its doors after three years without novices
After three years without novices, the missionary novitiate in Stopnica, Poland, welcomes two young men to continue their formation in Dehonian religious life.
On the day following the joyful celebrations for the beatification of Father Martino Capelli in Bologna, the Polish Province of the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus rejoices over the reopening of its missionary novitiate and the presence of two new candidates at the Stopnica monastery.
On September 28, 2026, during Solemn Vespers, Father Witold Januś, Provincial Vicar, welcomed Bohdan Orikhovskyi and Ivan Maslouski as new novices. Father Stanisław Gruca, Master of Novices, and his Socius, Father Jakub Bieszczad, took charge of their formation.
Until now, Bohdan carried out his postulancy in Stadniki, while Ivan completed his in Grodno. We wish them perseverance in building community, much recollection in prayer, and zeal in facing daily challenges.
