Since last March, we have welcomed a total of eight Ukrainians, four women and four children. They are living in the renovated rooms of the residence and we are accompanying them in their integration process.

We are proud to be successful in offering some comfort and security to the people we welcome. It is beautiful to see that sincere friendships are beginning to form between the Ukrainian children and our students. Others are developing with the adults too. We are also delighted to see that the entire Argenteuil community has become involved in our project.

In our opinion, involving the students and the community in this type of initiative is, , one of the best ways to teach and make our students live with the values of openness and salutation that are so dear to our school.

We would like to thank all those who were involved in this project, from near and far.

Last Tuesday, October 11, the Séminaire du Sacré-Cœur received a beautiful recognition for its humanitarian contribution from the Government of Canada. Thank you to the Member of Parliament for Argenteuil-La Petite-Nation, Mr. Stéphane Lauzon, for presenting this award.
