On May 15, 2021, the auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Kraków, Damian Muskus OFM, administered the sacrament of ordination to four of our confreres. Among them, three are from Belarus and one from Poland.

During the ordination ceremony, in his homily, Bishop Damian paid special attention to the important truths that come from Jesus’ prayer to the Father: “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children” (Matt. 11, 25).

The first is an attitude of gratitude to God for the gift of vocation and choice, which should permanently accompany the newly ordained in their daily ministry of the Word and the celebration of the sacraments. Bishop Damian also invited our Confreers to be simple and humble people, for only in such people does Jesus find his liking, and the Heavenly Father discovers before them the deepest mysteries of the Christian faith. Finally, our Confreres have been encouraged to be particularly vulnerable to the poors, despised and marginalized in society. It is above all to them that they will be sent today, and it is to them and to all those on the periphery of the Church who should proclaim the gospel of the merciful Father.

With these words, Bishop Damian expressed the basic truths of the charism that our confreres have been endowed with today.
