After five years of mission in Rome as Procurator General, Father Antonio Purwono returns to Indonesia.
Appointed in 2020 by Father Carlos Luis Suárez Codorniú, Superior General, Father Antonio Purwono, a member of the Indonesian Province, served for five years as Procurator General of the Congregation. At the end of this period, he gives thanks for the journey accomplished and entrusts to the Lord his new mission in his country of origin.
In a video attached to this article, Father Purwono reflects on this stage of his religious and apostolic life, which he describes as “a journey of service and learning.” He emphasizes how this mission within the General Administration was for him a time of spiritual and human enrichment.
As the one responsible for legally representing the Congregation before the Holy See, he says he discovered “the importance of listening, being patient in dialogue, and approaching every situation with humility and respect, guided by the law and by the spirit of the Gospel.”
Back in Indonesia, he will now place his experience at the service of the Mission Procure of his Province.
The Congregation warmly thanks him and offers its encouragement for this new stage of his mission.
