From September 11 to 13, 2025, a Seminary on the Sacred Heart of Jesus will be held in the city of Córdoba (Argentina), a proposal for formation, prayer, and communion organized by the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Dehonians) – APU Province.
Organized in collaboration with the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network (Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay), this Sacred Heart Seminary is the fruit of the journey begun with the Sacred Heart webinars held between 2020 and 2024. It seeks to offer a space of encounter to deepen the spirituality of the Heart of Jesus as a source of reparation, fraternity, and commitment to today’s world.
Representatives from Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay will take part, including members of religious congregations, lay communities, educators, pastoral workers, young people, and parish leaders.
A Living and Incarnate Spirituality
Over the course of three days, the seminary will offer times of theological reflection, liturgical celebrations, participatory workshops, and moments of community prayer. At the heart of the program is the central question:
How can we live and proclaim today the reparative and merciful love of the Heart of Jesus?
There will be Eucharistic celebrations, morning prayer with daily offering, visits to the tabernacle in available churches, and symbolic gestures to help experience the spirituality of the Heart of Jesus with depth and simplicity.
A Path of Communion
“The Seminary is the fruit of a shared journey that was born as a response to the suffering of the world during the pandemic and has now become a sign of communion among congregations, cultures, and generations wishing to return to the Heart,” said Fr. Arildo José Ferrari, SCJ, Provincial Superior of the APU Province.
Participation and Solidarity Support
The seminary already has confirmed participants from various religious provinces, dioceses, educational centers, and movements. Thanks to the generous support of the U.S. Province of the Priests of the Sacred Heart, scholarships for lodging and meals are being arranged for young people and pastoral agents from vulnerable communities, ensuring diverse and inclusive participation.
