The Venerable Servant of God, Martino Capelli, SCJ (1912-1944), whose decree of martyrdom was published last November 21, will be beatified in the city of his martyrdom on September 27, 2026, according to a communication from the Superior General.
Dear SCJ religious and members of the Dehonian Family,
We have received confirmation from the Secretariat of State regarding the requested date for the beatification of the Venerable Servant of God, Father Martino Capelli, SCJ (1912-1944). By the grace of God, it will take place this coming September 27 in the city of Bologna (Italy).
During the same celebration, the Venerable Servants of God, Reverend Ubaldo Marchioni and Don Elia Comini, SDB, will also be beatified. While giving thanks to God for the upcoming beatification of the Venerable Servant of God, Father Martino Capelli, let us ask that, within the framework of the Dehonian Jubilee, this may be an additional incentive to renew ourselves in our response to the vocation and charism we have received.
